Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, wiring, control and lighting systems.
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers .
Emphasize your knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Install and troubleshoot high voltage electrical systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure their safe and efficient operation
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and plumbers, to complete renovation projects
- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions using testing instruments and hand tools
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and standards
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 year of experience as a Journeyperson Electrician in a commercial or industrial setting
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Experience working with logic controllers and other advanced electrical systems
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve electrical issues
- Familiarity with frame carpentry techniques for installing electrical components
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
Note: Maintenance Person skills are not directly related to the role of a Journeyperson Electrician.
However, if the position requires additional maintenance person tasks, such as basic carpentry or general maintenance, this can be included in the responsibilities section.
