Job Overview:
GMS Mine repair is recruiting for Surface construction positions, this is for a long-term contract in the Carlsbad NM area, these positions will be for 40 hours per week Monday through Thursday, Day shift.
Vacation after 1 year of service.
As a Surface Mine Construction worker, you will be responsible for various duties related to construction and maintenance of surface mine site.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Duties:
- Use forklifts and other equipment to transport materials and supplies
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Experience:
- Previous experience in surface mine construction or related field is preferred
Skills:
· Equipment operation experience (Skid Loaders, Telehandlers, Aerial lifts, etc.
)
· Basic hand and power tool experience
· Rigging experience- Strongly Preferred
· Working from Heights Required
· Steel work, Metal Siding experience.
· Industrial Construction experience.
· General Maintenance and Equipment Installation.
· Welding/Pipe Fitting- Strongly Preferred
· Blueprint reading.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during construction projects
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
