The Merchandiser an important part of the sales team, as they work with salesmen and drivers to deliver, stock, and assist in product sales to customers.
They also play a leading role in building high quality, effective displays that sell more product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
During a shift, Merchandisers at L&F Distributors can expect to:
Develops and maintains an effective rapport with all assigned customers.
Provides effective and creative merchandising solutions.
Builds displays according to company and brand standards, customers’ policies, and requirements from sales staff.
Audits condition of all POS for repair or replacement.
Monitors stock levels and freshness of product at each account to minimize out-of-stocks and ensure rotation or removal to meet company standards.
Learns and applies the concept of “the salesman you leave behind” to sell more product in each account.
Completes training, seminars and classes as assigned.
Sells all products in accordance with company and TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) guidelines.
Completes and submits service, incentive, and other required reports accurately and on time.
Runs hotshot loads and assists the rest of the team.
Completes other duties as assigned.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to work towards obtaining a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Proper licensing from the TABC to sell alcoholic beverages, or the ability to qualify for such license.
Great time management skills.
Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
The ability to work together as a team and fulfill goals in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and coworkers.
Basic computer and math skills.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
May have to lift to 50 pounds.
