POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in fulfilling medical care requirements for students as they are provided service in Wellness center.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse required.
Active, unrestricted license to practice in state where center is
located.
JOB DUTIES:
Treat minor injuries and illnesses according to physician instructions as authorized per healthcare guidelines.
Assist with assessing wellness needs of students to maximize wellness of students for best education and living
performance.
Conduct cursory medical exams during students' first 48 hours on center.
Clean and dress wounds, operate emergency equipment, and provide follow up care, as required.
Prepare and administer specified medication and drugs.
Perform routine lab tests in accordance with standards.
Preview and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services
to students.
Prepare related reports, as assigned.
Monitor students on bed rest in health and wellness center.
Enter required information in student health records and maintain in an organized manner.
Conduct designated health services special programs, as assigned.
Assist physician or mid-level health care provider, when needed.
Operate in accordance with requirements set in the contract, PRH, guides, Standard Operating Procedures, and
corporate policies.
Complete all required training according to Job Corps and Company training schedule.
Advise and support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals.
Contribute to cultivation of positive Center culture which is free of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and
disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
