About the Permian Straddling West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico over an area roughly the size of Kansas, the Permian is the most prolific oil and gas basin in America and the engine behind the country’s energy renaissance.
Nationally, it provides about 40% of oil and 15% of gas production and plays a critical role in making the U.

a leading energy exporter.
A key asset for ExxonMobil, the Basin accounts for about 40% of the Corporation’s net oil and gas production in the U.
S.
in 2021, with significant future growth potential.
Production reached more than 550,000 barrels per day in 2022 and is expected to surpass 800,000 barrels per day by 2027.
Many of these molecules travel down to ExxonMobil’s facilities along the Gulf of Mexico, where they are transformed into high-value finished products such as jet fuel and lubricants.
The Permian Basin business unit also has the distinction of being the first at ExxonMobil to unveil and execute a plan for net zero Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions in operated assets by 2030, as part of the Corporation’s broader 2050 net zero ambition.

What role you will play in our team Manage the overall chemical program with the chemical vendors and chemical technicians- Carlsbad, NM What you will do Collaborate with engineers, field personnel, and chemical vendors to manage and implement chemical recommendations Provide direction and training for Chemical Technicians Approve chemical order requests and invoices Participate on the Chemical Management Team Approve and order new chemical pumps/tanks for continuous chemical applications Review all chemical data and monthly reports supplied by chemical vendors Monitor and optimize chemical program to maximize effectiveness at the lowest cost per BOE Manage oil and water sampling schedule for internal ExxonMobil requirements About you Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work with engineers, production foremen, field personnel, and chemical vendors Should possess good computer skills in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Basic understanding of various Artificial Lift Systems ( Beam Lift, Gas Lift, ESP’s, and Plunger Lift) Should have prior experience of participation in failure meetings Experience with various types of chemical pumps, tank level monitors, and automation 10 + years of experience in the upstream and mid-stream chemical industry Previous experience working in the Delaware Basin preferred Demonstrate ability to perform all job duties and responsibilities with minimal direct supervision Preferred Skills List the set of non-core qualifications that enable job proficiency for job incumbents Detail the preferred/desired skills/knowledge applicable to the position Your benefits An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
