Diesel Mechanic

# USNM-DM0823 Position and Location: We are currently seeking applicants to fill the full-time position of Diesel Mechanic at our Carlsbad, NM location.
Duties/Responsibilities: Inspections and diagnoses diesel powered vehicles and machines Properly fix and maintain vehicles and equipment Run diagnostic tests Conduct field visits in the case emergency or breakdowns Oil changes and brake checks Maintain records and parts inventory Required Skills/Abilities: Available to work some after-hours and weekends.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Hold a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pull trailers safely Punctual, task oriented, and very well organized.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to understand and communicate in a proper manner on email, text, and phone.
Relay information and questions through the proper hierarchy chain.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Class A CDL preferred but not required Electrical/ telecom background preferred Forklift Operation Certification will be considered an advantage Physical Requirements: Kneeling, bending, climbing stairs and ladders.
Must be able to lift as much as 50 pounds at a time.
Work in all weather conditions.
Drive for extended periods of time throughout the day.
Pass a pre-job drug test.
Compensation: Negotiable depending on experience.
