Description
As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
Insures that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection.
Performs in the role of second scrub as needed.
Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.

Providence is calling an Non-Certified Surgical Technician, Surgery General who will: Serve as a member of the surgical team and will be under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Circulator Maintain the operating room sterile field Pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery Ensure that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection Perform in the role of second scrub as needed Assist the registered nurse with circulating duties Please note the following important details regarding this role: We are hiring for multiple openings of a Non-Certified Surgical Technician, General Surgery Work Status Available: Full Time Shifts Available: Day Work Schedule Includes both: Weekends and Weekdays This is an onsite role that will report into the hospital daily, as scheduled Hiring Bonus: Providence is offering up to a $10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment Required qualifications for this position include: Texas: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Preferred qualifications for this position include: New Mexico: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
Upon hire: Certification in Surgical Technology Previous OR training / experience.
