Develops, implements, evaluates and revises plan of care based on physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of the patient/family.
Must be competent in starting IV’s, educating patients and families on procedures and medications, monitoring of sedation level, body temperature, blood loss and transfusions, cardiac monitoring, and drawing of specimens.
Collaborates with staff, physicians, and other disciplines to provide quality care delivery.
Must have knowledge of ventilating patients and maintaining of airways.
Maintains clinical knowledge and skills competency to facilitate patient care in accordance with current standards of practice.
Provides for a safe and clean patient care environment.
Monitors environment and initiates intervention to provide safe patient care.
Must be a team player and assist with turning over treatment chairs.
Assess the needs of individuals, families, or communities, including assessment of individuals' home or work environments, to identify potential health or safety problems.
Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Monitor and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
