Salado Isolation Mining Contractors (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a Central Characterization Program (CCP) Training Specialist to join our team to support our government customer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will implement the administrative and technical aspects of the CCP Training and Qualification Program.
Develop training products (classroom, on-the-job [OJT], self-paced, etc.
) using the Department of Energy (DOE) Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), as required by DOE O 426.

Support the execution and revision of Job and Task Analysis (JTA).
Interface with instructors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), as necessary, in support of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) phases of new or revised training products.
Ensure all training meets or exceeds applicable Orders, Standards, and procedures.
Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness.
Work under consultative direction toward long range goals and objectives.
Assignments are often self-initiated.
Exempt Salary Grade (30-32)
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree and one (1) year of training/education experience, or
Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of training/education experience, or
Associate’s degree with seven (7) years of training/education experience, or
High School Diploma or Equivalency with eleven (11) years of training/education experience is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.
S.
citizenship is required except in limited circumstances.

Higher education attainment than listed acceptable per internal level identifiers of accompanying years of experience.
Preferred Requirements:
BS/BA in Training and Development or Education.
CCP, DOE, or WIPP experience.
DOE Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) or ADDIE experience.
Teaching or classroom instructor experience is preferred.
Web-Based Training (WBT) experience.
Relocation assistance available for this position, if relocating more than 50 miles from current residence.
Starting salary $76,724 per year *
